Gabi

Gabi's Story

My mother’s birthday is on Christmas Day and she once told us that my grandmother wanted to call her Maria do Nascimento – which is Maria Of Birth in Portuguese – because she was born on the same day as Jesus Christ.

We laughed a lot and thanked the fact that my mother’s name is only Maria!

Ana's Story

My favorite holiday memory is going to my Nana’s house for the holidays and always getting there to fresh bread made by her and also this really good peanut candy she makes that is unbelievably good. She is the kindest human and even to this day visiting her always brings good memories to me 💖

Everything about Christmas is Joyful. I love to set up the nativity scene before Christmas Eve. On the day, we exchange gifts & homemade sweets. Mom makes a great special meal. My Christmas ritual, which I repeat every year is to spend the evenings with some sweets, snuggle inside my blanket, and watch The Polar Express and Home Alone 🙂

Sush

Sushant's Story

When I was 8 or 10 years old, I had this English school teacher who would sing “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer” to me. I had no idea about the lyrics. Just the tone that was always in my mind. Years after I still find myself singing that song, and until I turned 18-19 I had no idea I was signing the song all wrong.

Harvey's Story

I still remember my first Christmas. I woke up and saw Mommy & Daddy decorating this beautiful tree with so many beautiful & shiny ornaments. I wanted to chew on them but I decided to be a good boy and chewed & played with the red sock lying around instead. It had my face on it! ‘Twas a good day 🐶
